We Rock The Spectrum Somerville is excited to bring you a new holiday program for 2024-2025! Below are descriptions each day during the 3-week program.

What’s on offer:

Excursions – Children will be transported by Mini bus to the Excursion in the AM and then spend the afternoon in the Gym

Activities – Half-Day fun at the gym, includes a themed activity and general play

DECEMBER ACTIVITIES

Mon 23 December: Christmas Activities

• Get ready to spread some holiday cheer with a rockin’ Christmas craft! In this activity, you’ll turn ordinary stones into dazzling Christmas decorations.

Tue 24 December: Cookies For Santa

• Decorate a selection on Christmas themed cookies perfect to leave out for Santa in the evening

EXCURSIONS

Week One

Wed 8 Jan: Enchanted Maze

          Explore this magical world at Enchanted Adventure located in Arthurs Seat on the Mornington Peninsula. The day’s activities will include:

• Mazes
• Tube slides
• Canopy Walk
• Sky Scramble –  “an aerial playground  in the trees and offers a series of obstacles and challenges to overcome. Scramble through the cargo nets, clamber over the Tibetan bridge, take a bounce in the ball pit and test your nerves on the wobbly wooden bridges. For our smaller guests, we have a miniatureBush Scramble in the same area with a scramble net and steppingstone obstacle course”
• Brain teaser puzzles
• Sculpture Walk and Pirate Playground

Thu 9 Jan: Pure Peninsula Honey + Candle Making

Explore this family-owned honey farm and see bees collecting pollen, building honeycomb and working in their hive Includes:

• a farm tour + animal feeding which runs for approximately 60 mins
• lunch from the café included

After the excursion, children will be able to make their own bees wax candles at WRTS Somerville.

Week Two

Wed 15 Jan: Funky Farm

Meet and interact with an assortment of animals at this boutique zoo located in Hastings. Funky Farm is appointment only, so this is your child’s chance to visit!

Fri 17 Jan: Dinosaur World & Mini Golf

 

 

 

 

 

 

This exciting excursion will take your little explorers back in time to a world of giant fossils, roaring dinosaurs, and hands-on activities like mini golf! It’s the ultimate day out for your young palaeontologist. Don’t miss this dino-mite adventure—they’ll be talking about it for weeks!

Week Three

Mon 20 Jan: Briars Bush Walk

An adventure through the briars immersing in nature.

• Leaf and Bark Rubbing
• Shelter making
• Picnic in the park

Wed 22 Jan: Dr Hubble’s Bubbles

Back by popular demand… this one of a kind show highlights the magic of bubbles!

ACTIVITIES

Week One

Mon 6 Jan: Smoothie Magic: Make Your Own!

Get ready to mix, mash, and sip your way to a delicious, healthy treat! In our DIY Smoothie activity! Kids can choose from a variety of fresh fruits, yogurts, and juices to create their very own smoothie masterpiece. Perfect for a fun, hands-on experience with a tasty reward at the end!

Tue 7 Jan: Build & Boogie

• DIY Instrument Making
• Music and Movement
• Parachute Games

Fri 10 Jan: LEGO Workshop

Facilitated workshop where kids work in teams to create LEGO sets. Then, they create individual masterpieces.

Week Two

Mon 13 Jan: Cupcake & Cookie Art Lab

Decorate and consume an assortment of cupcakes & cookies to suit your style.

Tue 14 Jan: Superhero Training Academy

A superhero-themed program where children go through “training” activities to become superheroes! Activities include:

• Obstacle courses for “agility training”
• Strength challenges (e.g., foam block lifting)
• Designing their own superhero costumes
• Crafting “super gadgets” like capes, shields, or masks

Thu 16 Jan: Lab Legends Day

Science takes over at WRTS Somerville! Kids will enjoy experimenting and putting science to the test!

Week Three

Tue 21 Jan: Paint, Paste & Play Day

Kids can unleash their inner Picasso as they explore a variety of mediums. Kids will create a group mural to be displayed at WRTS Somerville.

Thu 23 Jan: Pizzapalooza

Little chefs get to create their own pizzas, learning essential skills along the way!

Fri 24 Jan: Dance Party

Get the Disco Ball ready! It’s time to party! Dress-ups, Face Paint and lights.

Support: We offer 1:1 and 1:4 ratios to suit each child’s needs

WRTS Somerville is a registered NDIS provider.

Once you have registered your interest we will be in contact to book your FREE Meet & Greet prior to the program commencing! Half Day: 9:30am – 12:30pm (Activities in gym ONLY)

• 1:4 = $108.93 per session
• 1:1 = $260.94 per session

Full Day Combo: 9am – 3pm (Includes Excursions & in gym time)

• 1:4 = $171.60 per session
• 1:1 = $475.65 per session
